I feel like it’s definitely worth a watch. It depends on your tastes, but I’ve always felt Yu Yu Hakusho had an amazing story and characters, a great soundtrack, and awesome voice acting. It’s one of the few anime where I actually prefer the English dub over the original, but again, that’s just my preference.
Yusuke is not your typical do-gooder hero, but deep down he has the qualities that make the audience root for him. Yu Yu Hakusho focuses on moral grey areas and how people may not always be who they seem to be.
Yu Yu Hakusho is one of the best shonen and it’s been one of my personal favorites for years now. Sensui arc is hands-down best arc imo. That’s easily my favorite arc too, it was very well done. I mean, it ticks almost every cliche box. But it also does them all extremely well.
Both Nozumu Sasaki and Justin Cook provide excellent performances for Yusuke, and the subtle and not-so subtle differences in their portrayals of Yusuke makes the series worth revisiting a second time just so you can hear how Yusuke changes between the presentations.
